Introductory Flights commence for the 2022 season from 1st April 2022.
Why not make the most of a crisp winters day and go for a flight experience with one of our introductory flights.
At this time of year, the weather is a little challenging and there will be limited flying days available, but when that day is clear, bright and calm - come and make the most of it with us in our DHC1 Chipmunk.
Introductory flights in the DHC1 Chipmunk at White Waltham airfield.
Experience what it felt like to fly the de Havilland Chipmunk, a training aircraft used by many air forces, including the Royal Air Force and Royal Canadian Air Force.
The DH Chipmunk DHC1 Mk22 was the basic trainer used for pilot training by all three services during the 1950’s through to the 1980’s.
Our aircraft G-BCPU had a service marking WP973 and will be repainted in 2015 to show its original RAF livery. C1/0839 was built at DH Chester and supplied to RAF in June 1952. It was initially placed in storage until it was issued to the Liverpool University Air Squadron at Woodvale and served with the RAF until October 1974.

The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is the world's largest military air show, held annually over the third weekend in July, usually at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England in support of The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. The show typically attracts a total of 150,000 to 160,000 spectators over the weekend
RAFCTE is best known for staging the world's largest military airshow - The Royal International Air Tattoo - each year at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. The origins of the Royal International Air Tattoo stretch back to an airshow first held at North Weald Airfield in 1971. Inspired by two air traffic controllers, Paul Bowen and Tim Prince, this modest event, organised wholly by volunteers, was originally held in support of the Royal Air Forces Association. Over the years this volunteer force has grown into an army, more than 3,500-strong, who bring with them a wealth of aviation and event-management experience that has helped the Air Tattoo grow into the enormous event it is today.

WP973 has been invited back to the RAF Cosford air show in 2016. Unfortunately due to some terrible weather in 2015, we never made it to Cosford. We shared the ground at White Waltham with the BBMF and drank lots of tea.
Fingers crossed for 2016 and hopefully we can be there this year.
